Installing Touch Screen Kiosks At Your Storefront

One of the newest big trends of retail are touch screen kiosks. Not only do they save time and money on workers performing repetitive order tasks, but people love using them! Touch screen Kiosks monitors and systems can be used for most any retail business from movie theaters to retail outlets.

If you have a loyalty program or other type of discount sign up then you can also use a kiosk for that. Many stores have these at their check out lines to try and snag customers. While this is good for opt in it ultimately slows down your lines and frustrates waiting customers. Having a separate kiosk for this streamlines the operation.

I previously did a write up about touch screen menus for restaurants which I think is an awesome idea. Giving customers  important additional information like allergy warnings, health and nutritional information, and additional pictures could really help the bottom line when they purchase more items or are happier with their selections.

What else? Touch screen rental booths are becoming more and more popular. In fact it’s hard to find a store that doesn’t have one of these machines. Coinstar, Redbox, and even carpet cleaner rentals can be found in any major retail store. These businesses make billions of dollars a year off of totally unmanned touch screen equipment. A vendor simply services the machine a couple times per week to change out merchandise or collect money.

Some retail chains have even instituted self-check out kiosks. These machines allow the customer to ring up their own purchases which many people (including myself) prefer. Not only do you not have to wait in a long check out line, but one employee can man several registers at once. This is especially helpful for customers with small purchases of only one or two items. It’s also very easy to up sell with warranties or other store add on items on the touch screens.
