Would you pay for fans or views for your product?

Social media is a huge part of people’s lives. Everyone is on facebook now and more and more companies are using it for everyday activity. Some even use it for customer service. Twitter gives companies and celebrities direct access to communicate with their fans. You can even buy Facebook fans.

This gives them the rare opportunity to know exactly what their group of followers want not only in a social media experience but it products or services they plan to purchase. Many companies make viral videos due to the overwhelming growth of popular videos making big business for the channel owners. People repeatedly make share able videos to get Youtube views and blast their company across the social world.

Many companies even pay celebrities or influential Twitter users to tweet about their products. This can go from the reasonably prices to even thousands of dollars per tweet for high profile celebrities like P-Diddy or Ryan Sheckler! There’s no question that social media can boost business.

Companies often give coupon codes or discounts for people who like or share their products on Facebook. This is because people are far more likely to purchase a product or service on the recommendation of a friend rather than just branding alone.

If they know those who already use said item they will be much more comfortable with the purchase. If you are interactive with customers they also feel a better connection to your brand. Companies who actively answer questions and interact with users on their own profiles have increased customer loyalty. People like being responded to personally.

Facebook and Twitter are also good ways to pull customers back to your website. Advertising promotions or deals can get sales from past happy customers. These customers are always easier to convert than a new sale. Especially if they were happy with their first purchases!
